One year on

I’ve been blogging for 1 year now and I’m happy to say I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. I thank you all for following me and really hope you gain from my experiences. It’s been a while since my last post so today is a brief catch up of my summer.

A family break in Keswick meant gentle walks, boat trips and we celebrated my birthday with a Segway ride through Whinlatter forest. I highly recommend this. We easily travelled through the steep forest to see gorgeous views.

Stunning view from Whinlatter forest. I wouldn’t have seen this, had it not been for riding the Segway.

The Queen’s Jubilee had us celebrating at our local cricket ground. It was a great afternoon of good beer and sunshine. I even made a little bandana for Kita too.

July saw AP and his Dad busy revamping our back yard. It went from being an outdated patio overgrown with weeds to a modern courtyard complete with homemade picnic bench. I just love it. My friends visited for a weekend and it was great to be able to sit outside with them. Ok, so it was cold but I only made them stay out until the new lanterns came on, ha!

After.
Oh so pretty lanterns… in my opinion.

I must tell you about Canoeing at Martin Mere WWT. Floating on the calm lake was so relaxing. I really think I could do this as part of my weekly therapy, if only it weren’t so far away. It was bliss.

So it was a busy few weeks but I really feel I’ve enjoyed the summer. I’ve learnt that keeping visitors a few days apart helps me recover from fatigue and regular sit down breaks lessens the PEM. The warm weather has helped. It’s been a relief to dress in lighter clothes instead of layers of chunky tops. Lets hope it continues.

I’ve got some exciting news to announce very soon so please keep following to find out more.
