Pawel Jaworski Completes Historic IBJJF No-Gi Grand Slam

Pawel Jaworski captured the men’s medium-heavyweight title at the 2026 IBJJF European No-Gi Championship on November 1, submitting Pipo Chiappe with a heel hook in the final. The victory reportedly gives Jaworski gold at the Pan No-Gi, Lisbon International Open, ADCC World Championship and European No-Gi Championship in 2026. [68]

Why it matters: Jaworski’s run places him one major IBJJF no-gi title away from a rare, potentially unprecedented grand-slam accomplishment. It also strengthens his position as one of the defining breakout competitors of the 2026 season.

Social hook: “One title away from history: Pawel Jaworski is rewriting the IBJJF no-gi record book.”

IBJJF European No-Gi Championship Concludes in Ostia

The 2026 IBJJF European No-Gi Championship concluded November 1 at PalaPellicone in Lido di Ostia, Italy, following five days of competition from October 28 through November 1. Final-day coverage highlighted Jaworski’s title run along with notable podium finishes across the adult black-belt divisions. [69]

Why it matters: The European No-Gi Championship is one of the IBJJF season’s most important ranking events, and its results will shape the field and storylines heading into the 2027 campaign.

Social hook: “Europe’s biggest no-gi title is decided—and the final day delivered a historic finish.”

ADCC Caracas Open Results Remain in Early Official-Confirmation Stage

The ADCC Latinoamérica Open in Caracas took place October 31 in Venezuela, with competition footage and match listings now available through FloGrappling. ADCC’s official event page identifies the tournament as completed but still labels the official results “to be confirmed,” while independent tournament databases have begun posting medal and team-standings information. [70]

Why it matters: Caracas is part of ADCC’s international event circuit and provides regional athletes with a major platform. The results may become more significant once ADCC publishes a finalized official record.

Social hook: “ADCC Caracas is over—but the official results are still not fully locked in.”

Weekend Grappling Results Set the Stage for a Major November Schedule

Results from the October 31–November 1 competition weekend are now being compiled across the professional and tournament circuits, including the IBJJF European No-Gi Championship, ADCC Caracas Open and multiple regional events. The next major dates on the calendar include ADCC Brazilian Nationals on November 7 and IBJJF The Crown in Long Beach on November 8. [71]

Why it matters: The sport moves immediately from the European and Latin American events into a concentrated week of high-profile competition, with major title implications and several elite athletes scheduled to compete.

Social hook: “The biggest stretch of the 2026 grappling calendar starts now: ADCC Nationals, then The Crown.”

Editor’s Notes

ADCC’s Caracas page still lists the official results as “to be confirmed,” so independent standings and medal information should be treated as provisional until ADCC publishes a finalized record. The Jaworski grand-slam framing is based on current event coverage and reported 2026 titles; a definitive IBJJF statement describing the achievement as an official first was not located.
